Born and raised in New Zealand, Matt has been around golf his entire life. After completing his PGA training under one of New Zealand’s top coaches, Marcus Wheelhouse, at Royal Auckland & Akarana Golf Clubs, Matt went on to build a reputation as a talented player, long driver, and dedicated coach.
Now based in Melbourne, Matt’s entering his sixth year of coaching, helping golfers of all levels build functional, consistent swings that last a lifetime. He’s worked with everyone from juniors and beginners to top amateurs and professionals, bringing together technique, mindset, and on-course strategy.
Matt’s not just about mechanics. He’s passionate about helping players grow both mentally and physically, through tailored drills, course management sessions, and performance-focused routines. Born in South Korea and raised in Australia, Chang’s story is one of persistence and passion.
He first picked up a club as a kid alongside his brother who would later go on to earn his KPGA Tour Card in South Korea. But life took Chang down a different path: he spent over 10 years working as a chef, eventually becoming a head chef in fine dining in his last 2 years of career.
Once he earned his Australian citizenship, he decided it was time to chase what he truly loved again, golf.
Through content creation, Chang began sharing his journey, his love for the game and the ups and downs that every golfer can relate to.
Matt and Chang met through social media, two creators who shared the same love for golf, travel, and storytelling. What started as a few videos quickly turned into a friendship built around creativity, competition, and a deep respect for the game.
Together, they decided to build a brand that reflected who they are and what golf means to them not just a sport, but a lifestyle.
Flush Daddy Golf was born out of the idea that golf should be fun, functional, and full of personality. The product we created is designed to help golfers play better, feel better, and become a FLUSHER on the course.
